ZZ Plant care
Zamioculcas Zamiifolia
Glossy, waxy leaves that look fake because they're so perfect. The ZZ stores water in thick roots, so it thrives on neglect and low light. A true set-it-and-forget-it plant.

Light
Low to bright indirect light — the ZZ is happy almost anywhere. It'll grow slowly in low light and faster in brighter spots.
Keep it out of direct sun, which can scorch those glossy leaves.
Water
Let it dry out completely between waterings — those thick potato-like roots hold plenty of water. Every 2–3 weeks is typical; once a month in winter.
Overwatering is the only real way to kill a ZZ.
Soil & pot
Well-draining mix with perlite or cactus soil. Drainage hole required. The rhizomes rot fast in standing water.
Humidity & temperature
Average home humidity is fine. Keep it 60–75°F and away from cold drafts.
Propagation
Divide the rhizomes when repotting, or root a leaflet in water or soil. It's slow but reliable.
